Merida is not a Disney Princess!

I personally hate it when people include her with the Disney Princesses.  She is made by Pixar and her movie has not even been released yet!  Let’s judge whether or not she can join the line-up once we actually get to meet her character in the movie.

Don’t get me wrong… I already love Brave and REALLY can’t wait until it comes out, but I also love the Disney princesses and don’t think that Merida is deserving to become one of them.

Well, I read before she was already planned to be added to the lineup—but I can no longer find that.

I know, it’s Pixar, but it’s Disney Pixar—remember that.

You don’t think she is “deserving” of becoming one?

She’s a princess, and I think she should be added to the lineup. No matter what.

Also, Kida and Eilonwy. Not that it will ever happen…

Whether Merida is “deserving” of becoming a part of the princess line up shouldn’t even be a question. She is obviously deserving. She’s everything a princess should be and we can see that just from the trailers.

Will it happen? I don’t know and we won’t know if she will be apart of the line up until after her movie. however she is a part of the animators collector dolls which until Merida only included princesses from the official line (if I’m mistaken about that please forgive me) so maybe that is a hint to what is in store for Merida’s future.

I have heard people say there’s know way she can become an official princess because she’s not as physically perfect as the other princesses. I’m guessing that they’re basing this on her big frizzy hair and freckles because that’s what he pointed out when we had this conversation.  I think Merida is beautiful and very realistic so I see no reason why her looks should stand in the way of her becoming a part of the official line up.

Merida does break the mold when it comes to the idea of Disney’s official line up, but she also has a lot of hype and excitement for the upcoming movie. Not to mention endless promotions such as being a part of the animators collection and her addition to World of Color at Disneyland.  So maybe she’ll be a new addition that comes to the surprise of many.

So today I went to Barnes and Nobles and bought a copy of D23. I was suppose to save it for tomorrow so I could have something to entertain myself with during work but I couldn’t stop reading. I wasn’t sure if I was going to like it at first but I really just fell in love with it. There wasn’t one article I didn’t like. It’s beautiful. It had a beautiful spread On Brave , which I am even more excited to see and I didn’t think that was possible. THere was also a beautiful spread on The Avengers. Not to mention there was a nice little tribute the Sherman Brothers. It was a good read and I’m a really glad I made this purchase :D I just had to share that with you guys <3
